3 Tips to Increase Your Company's Revenue In The Transportation Industry

Everyone is competing to service that couple who needs a ride to the airport or those college students who want to rent a party bus for their formal dance.

The good news is with the proper marketing techniques you can outsmart your competition and bring in those quality leads that will convert into paying customers. In this blog post we are going to walk you through the steps that you can take to bring in quality leads and increase your revenue, all by yourself!

Here are 3 marketing tips that are guaranteed to dramatically increase your companies revenue month by month:

#1 Create Google AdWords Campaigns to Generate Leads

Driving relevant traffic to your website is the most important thing you can do to generate quality leads. You will have to go to Google AdWords and create your own account that you can use for your company. Once you create your account click on the toolbar at the top, then click on “keyword planner”:

In the Keyword Planner, type in some keywords that people in your industry are searching.

For example if you want to target people looking for rides to the airport, what do you think they will be typing into Google in order to find a company to provide them this service? Maybe they are searching “airport rides near me” or “airport car service”. Type in 2-3 keywords and then click “Get Started”. Google will send you to a page with a large list of keyword ideas related to your original input. These keyword ideas include data such as search volume, competition and cost per click.

Doing keyword research isn’t the most exciting task but it is definitely necessary if you want to target the right audience bring in quality leads and save money. The next steps would be to create campaigns based on services. For example, one campaign will target individuals looking for rides to the airport, another might be targeting people looking for a limo ride to a wedding. The last step is to create enticing ad copy that will grab the attention of potential customers.

#2 Create Email Marketing Campaigns

Email marketing is a great way to promote your services to potential customers for free, yup that's right, you can use an email marketing software called MailChimp for absolutely no cost! Simply create an account and you can instantly start creating different templates for your email marketing campaigns. If your are using MailChimp or any other email marketing software you will need a large list of email subscribers to send to.

If you already have a large email list, great! You’re halfway there. If not that’s ok you can create a landing page on your website and run paid traffic to it to capture people's contact information.

Assuming you already have a list of emails you can start creating email template that you will use to send to these potential customers. We suggest you create seperate templates based on services and promotions. For example if you are running a promotion for 20% off all limo rides for labor day weekend, that would be its own separate template.

The most important thing to include in your email template is valuable information with a strong call to action. This means if you are offering a discount on your party bus service, make sure to write about exactly what the service includes as well as vehicle features. Lastly a strong call to action would be a button that they can click that read “Get 20% Off Today!”. This tells them exactly what they are getting when they click that button.

#3 Improve Your Rank On Google (SEO)

A very popular service in the digital marketing space is search engine optimization or SEO.

All this means is getting your website to rank higher in Google's search results. If someone types in “limo services” into Google, wouldn't you want your company's website to be the first to appear? Of course you would, but how do you do that?

SEO is a very complex topic that can be very time consuming but i'm going to give you some tips that you can do that won't take much time and improve your companies SEO quickly.

Creating new title tags and Meta descriptions is a must. If you don’t know what either of those things are here is a screenshot that shows both:

The top line is the title tag and the bottom lines are the meta description. This is an example of a result that appeared when I search “limo services” in Google. As you can see both the title tag includes the keywords ‘limo’ and ‘service’.

Now there are many other factors as to why their page is ranking 4th in Google search results such as page speed, bounce rates, alt-tags, content, etc. But creating these targeted title tags and meta description is an excellent start!
